Who is Lightning McQueen
Lightning McQueen is the main character is the Disney Pixar Cars Movie Trilogy and first appeared on the big screen back in 2006 in the movie Cars. In this film he appears as a talented but brash and big headed racing car in his first professional year and tied for first place in the Piston Cup Championship. However, on his way to the final race he ends up in the small and almost forgotten town of Radiator Springs where he finds a new best friend in tow truck Tow Mater, a new mentor and coach in the retired racing car Doc, new love called Sally and most noticeably of all some much needed humility and this is well demonstrated in his final race for the Piston Cup.

Subsequently Lightning McQueen and his friends then appeared in two more hit movies with Cars 2 in 2011 and recently Cars 3 in 2017. The latter followed Lightning at the end of his racing career and facing new challenges and an uncertain future. Also, in Cars 3 the world was introduced to a new breed of racing cars led by the sleek and ultra-cool Jackson Storm who was quite a hit with Travelbetter Boy although he never stopped routing for Lightning during the film.
